Technical Power Without Limits
At the heart of the MA 8.3 S is a Class A/AB architecture delivering up to 1,200 watts per mono amplifier. Two low-stray toroidal transformers rated at 1,000 VA each, 48 carefully selected high-performance MOSFETs, and 544,000 µF of filter capacitance form an amplifier platform that drives even impedance-critical loudspeakers with supreme composure. The SA 8.3 S translates the same philosophy into a stereo power amplifier delivering 400 W per channel – the ideal choice for high-end systems combining maximum sonic quality with a somewhat more compact architecture.
The AVM
Tube Input Stage
A distinctive hallmark of both amplifiers is the new anode-follower tube input stage. It imparts an incomparably fine musical fluency that AVM tube circuits have been admired for over many years – combined with high operational reliability and modern circuit design. The result is a sonic character that never confuses power with strain: the MA 8.3 S and SA 8.3 S play transparent, large-scale and finely detailed – always musically fluid and completely at ease.
Uncompromising Signal Path
The entire analogue circuit is fully DC-coupled to eliminate signal-colouring coupling capacitors from the signal path. Automatic offset compensation, dual differential input stages, and current-source-stabilised output stages provide the foundation for exceptionally precise, low-noise and controlled amplification. Integrated power filtering across all relevant voltage ranges shields sensitive components and ensures silence, dynamics and long-term stability.

The massive aluminium enclosure (430×250×420 mm, 49 kg) radiates the precision and quality of its technical interior. Available in Aluminium Silver, Brushed Black, or as the exclusive CELLINI Version with chrome fascia. Custom finishes are always welcome at the manufaktur. Delivered in a flight case. 2-year warranty, extended to 4 years with online registration.
