Since the 1990s, AVM has been developing high-end all-in-one devices, and now presents the latest generation 8.3 S at the ultimate high-end level. The OVATION CS 8.3 S represents a complete reimagining from the ground up – a technological masterpiece that combines decades of expertise with uncompromising innovation.
While retaining the elegant housing that made the first generation so successful, everything inside has been fundamentally redesigned and improved without compromise.

This is AVM’s finest all-in-one hi-fi device ever created, marking the launch of the new “S” line – S for Super, or as some say internally: OVAS, representing the absolute pinnacle of AVM engineering.

Where tradition meets innovation

The CS 8.3 S masterfully bridges past and future by combining time-honored tube technology with cutting-edge digital innovation. Based on the AVM X-Stream Engine®, it offers comprehensive streaming capabilities while maintaining the warmth and musicality that only vacuum tubes can deliver. The result is a sound that captivates both audiophile purists and modern streaming enthusiasts.
At its heart lies the new S-DAC featuring the highly selected ESS 9038 PRO Double-Quad DAC – with four DACs working in parallel per channel. This sophisticated architecture ensures that all high-resolution formats up to 384/32 PCM and DSD 256 are reproduced with absolute precision and naturalness.

Revolutionary architecture, timeless design

Conceptually, an entirely new masterpiece has emerged with fundamentally reconceived architecture. Numerous additional functions have been added: a high-performance phono stage for MM & MC cartridges with complete app-based customization, HDMI ARC input, an enhanced power supply delivering 550 watts, switchable connection capability for two pairs of speakers, and much more. The RC-X APP controls all functions completely, and the included RC 5 remote with customizable comfort buttons provides traditional tactile control.
This high-performance all-in-one makes device towers and cable clutter obsolete. All modern connections are available, allowing both a turntable and TV to be connected via HDMI ARC alongside analog and digital sources. The screwless aluminum precision housing, only 43 cm wide, impresses with its minimalist elegance, symmetrical design, and new white dimmable OLED display.

Sound without compromise

Compared to its predecessor, there has been a quantum leap in sound quality. The completely new amplifier stages, supported by an enhanced power supply, now deliver an impressive 550 watts (4Ω). Multi-stage filtered mains voltage is supplied to critical sections via the shortest possible paths. The power supply for the left and right analog output stages is even completely separated. An entirely new analog passive volume control ensures absolutely clear sound at all volume levels. Even impedance-critical speakers are handled by the CS 8.3 S with effortless ease.
The newly developed high-performance phono input stage enables connection of MM and MC systems, with specific settings conveniently made via the RC-X app. This ensures perfect analog sound, as analog input signals are processed entirely in the analog domain. The spring-mounted Pure-CD drive minimizes disruptive vibrations for authentic and detailed music reproduction.

Craftsmanship meets precision

The CS 8.3 S is available in standard aluminum silver or black finishes, and upon request as an elegant Cellini version with chrome-plated and hand-polished front plus chrome knobs. Customer-specific configurations are also possible from the manufactory – for example, control knobs can be finished in silver or black.

Repeated intensive quality controls during all production steps and a multi-day burn-in period for each individual device ensure our promise of maximum long-term reliability. We offer a transferable warranty of 2 years, with an additional 2 years available through online registration.
