Technical features of CS 8.3 and CS 6.3
The CS 8.3 and CS 6.3 offer first-class technologies from the AVM OVATION series in an all-in-one device. Both support all common streaming formats and a CD drive. The CS 6.3 uses transistor technology for clear sound reproduction, while the CS 8.3 creates a warm sound image with tube stages. Both models deliver up to 500 watts per channel and easily operate demanding speakers.

Modular design and upgradability
The modular design allows for the exchange of the DA converter, which supports digital formats up to 384kHz/32bit and DSD. Both models are future-proof and can be upgraded when necessary. The PureCD drive is protected against vibrations and ensures an unadulterated CD playback.
Design and build quality
The minimalist design features a casing made of brushed aluminum, manufactured without visible screw connections. The multi-chamber construction protects the electronics from interference. The tube stages are visible through the glass on top. The CS 8.3 and CS 6.3 come in an AVM flight case and are available in silver or black, with optional chrome front and selectable knobs.

„Der Ovation 8.3 von AVM bietet alle Quellen in einem Gerät. Hier wird eifrig gemessen, hier werden die teuersten Bausteine eingekauft. Hier wird gelötet, poliert und gehört. Am Schluss stehen Komponenten, die extrem klassisch aussehen und eine wundervoll edle Aura besitzen. Aber dennoch wird hier auf einen besonderen Klangmix Wert gelegt: Es soll messbar gut sein und dazu noch ein gutes Pfund Magie enthalten. Also Physik plus Metaphysik. Das ist ein Spagat und eine hohe Kunst. Der AVM prahlte regelrecht mit seiner puren Watt-Gewalt. Dazu die Schönheit des musikalischen Flusses. Wir versanken in einem schönen Traum. Die Saiten schwebten, trafen uns mitten im Zwerchfell – das ist es, was High-End ausmacht.“
